A Jail Called Freedom

A journey into Uruguayan history denial.

Synopsis: A Jail Called Prison was conceived as a very personal road movie. Lucia, a Franco-Uruguayan woman, is looking for testimonies on the memory of the dictatorship in Uruguay.

She first interviews her relatives and then various protagonists who played a role in this part of History. Lucia makes us discover with lightness the silences, the fears and the oblivion of a whole society that cannot yet grasps its denials.
