Supernovas

There is light in the night.
Supernovas express the cycle of Life, Death and Resurrection.
There is always hope and a star watching above each one of us.

This series is inspired by scientific observation of sky phenomena developed in a new poetic language.

Supernova (from the Latin “novus”) means “new star”.
A Supernova is the last phase of a star’s life: this outburst produces intense flashes of light.

Like a bridge between our present essence and our most distant part, that part is invisible and absent, these paintings try to get us closer to what we long for, sometimes without being able to name it. In this series lies the idea of the fabric of the cosmos, as a multicolored fabric through which each being is linked to the other, sometimes unknowingly; a map of the sky where mirror points are reunited.

The paintings made with mixed techniques, minerals and materials from the world of fashion refer to the idea of Life, Death and what can resurface in another state; they propose the Interdependence of phenomena, suggesting the Impermanent. There is stone, powder of earth, gold, silver, cupper, as in our DNA. The Supernovas series works the idea of light in the night. This search manifests the fact that each human being has a link to a unique star. Each piece works autonomously and at the same time is part of a moving system, which regenerates in the eyes of those who receive it.

How do you perceive the color of chaos?
